This golf course has come through the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew pretty well.  After unfortunately closing for several days to allow for clean up efforts and natural recovery it is back open and in great condition as usual.  The maintenance crew along with volunteers from the community worked tirelessly to get Meadowlands ready for fall golfers.  Now they are ready for and welcoming all golfers.  In fact, most golfers would not recognize their even was a hurricane!

Meadowlands Golf Links boasts an open layout will well-defined hazards and some surprising elevation changes.  This creates a rewarding golfing experience for everyone.  In fact Meadowlands was named one of the “Top 10 Best New Courses” when it opened by North Carolina Magazine.  It also is listed as “100 Top Women Friendly Courses” in Golf For Women magazine.  Like we said before, this course suits all golfers.

Desingned by Willard Byrd and David Johnson, this 7000+ yard track has some unforgettable holes boarded by meadows and wetlands.  Bring the camera or make sure to use the smartphone camera to get some great photos to take home and make your golf buddies jealous.  Meadowlands is a quiet and peaceful spot with not many homes to allow for a pleasant golfing experience.

There is also plenty of wildlife to be found along the round.  Meadowlands was built in accordance with the Audubon International guidelines to ensure the visiting golfers will see some birds in their natural habitat.  Add this to the rolling fairways and freshwater lakes that are spread out amongst the holes to catch wayward shots, and the golfers receive a second-to-none nature treat will enjoying their round of golf.
