The International Club of Myrtle Beach is our stop today on Tee It Up Grand Strand.  One thing golfers will find right away is how the management and staff treat their guests.  Customer service is a high priority for General Manager, Doug Donner and it is evident to anyone that has ever set foot on the property at International Club.  From the time golfers arrive to the time they leave, they are treated to hospitality that is second to none along the Grand Strand.

Let’st start with the entrance to the course.  As golfers drive up to the clubhouse they are treated to one of the coolest entrances anywhere.  The circular drive in front of the fantastic looking clubhouse is a giant compass.  That’s right.  Painted right on the concrete in the drive leading to the bag drop and the front doors is a huge compass.  It is quite a first impression and we haven’t even stepped inside the clubhouse.

Once inside the large clubhouse golfers are treated to a first rate golf shop with just about anything a golfer could need located on its shelves.  The friendly staff is waiting at the counter to get the golfers checked in and ready to hit the links with a smile and a friendly tip or two on how to play this outstanding Willard Byrd design.

The bar and grill area is a good as it gets.  The large bar will make golfers feel like they just stepped into an Irish pub as they sit down at the fine wooden stools and take in a cold beverage.  The atmosphere is tremendous as the ladies behind the bar make sure their patrons are well take care of.  It is a perfect stop before heading to the first tee and it is a must stop after the round as well.

Once golfers are finished in the golf shop and bar and they are ready to head out to the course there’s more awaiting them outside.  The starter will happily great all the groups and fill them in on the important information needed to enjoy their round.  The pin placements and the cart path rules will be discussed as well as how the course is marked for yardages.  It is a full service experience before heading off to the tee.

The International Club of Myrtle Beach is a very friendly place to play golf.  The pride and care shown to every guest is what make this course 1 of the best place for golfers to play when in Myrtle Beach.  It is a true “hidden gem” in the area.
