On this edition of Tee It Up Grand Strand we stay right in the heart of Myrtle Beach as we visit our friends at the International World Tour Golf Links.  Few facilities offer a more exciting and interesting venue than World Tour Golf Links. The golf shop staff and “Golf Course Ambassadors” are specially trained to promote the uniquely remarkable experience that this unforgettable golf course provides.

World Tour’s golf course and Pro Shop both have received numerous awards over the years.  “Top 100 Golf Shops” for one.  Receiving 4 1/2 stars on Golf Digest’s “Places to Play” list, is another of national note.  Locally they have received “Best of the Beach – Golf course with the toughest hole” by the Sun News.  This award goes to hole #3, which replicates famous island hole from TPC at Sawgrass.  The Par 3 17th hole that golf fans around the world watch every spring during THE PLAYERS Championship.

World Tour was designed by golf course designer Mel Graham. Recreating 18 of some of the world’s most renowned and challenging golf holes was a tremendous challenge.  Finding a location that could handle the holes from 15 different golf courses in three countries and nine states was not easy.  What better place to find it but in the Golf Capital of the World, Myrtle Beach.  The result is playing holes from some of the most famous golf courses in the world.  It is an experience not found anywhere else.

International World Tour Golf Links boast holes that have been played in all four of golf’s major championships, The Masters, The US Open, The Open Championship and the PGA Championship.  Holes from places like Pinehurst No.2, Winged Foot, Royal Troon, Augusta National and of course the home of Championship golf, The Old Course at St. Andrews.  Golfers need to make sure their cell phone has room for photos and videos as soon as they reach the first tee.  Surely they will want to take photos of this one of a kind experience.

World Tour Golf Links is a member of Founders Group International which has several other golf courses along the Grand Strand under their management.  World Tour is certainly the crown jewel in this group.  For more information about this outstanding facility visit the website www.theworldtourgolf.com.
